The Deputy for planning and coordination works in two areas namely, planning, budget and coordination in the form of office of planning and office of coordination. The deputy for planning and coordination of the vice -presidency for women and family affairs has the task of planning, monitoring indexes related to women and family affairs, evaluation of the plans and programs implemented, cooperation with the executive bodies at national and provincial levels, supporting active NGOs working in the areas of women and family affairs, affairs dealing with the logistics and the human resources and other affairs dealing with logistics, budgets and funding of the vice-presidency.
This deputy in addition to the above said tasks has close interaction with the government bodies and parliament commissions, organizations, groups, experts and professors and the public from all walks of life in order to fulfil its mission and tasks.
The deputy for planning endeavors to draw a variety of plans and programs within the framework of legal tasks and upstream documents in the areas of women and family affairs in order to take an effective step in achieving the sublime goals of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the area of women and for strengthening the family foundations. In a general perspective the tasks of the deputy are divided into two general sections:
Section one: includes tasks that are for sectorial areas of the vice-presidency for women and family affairs. These tasks are mostly executive and include plans and programs that have tangible results. But in the second section which consist of intra-sectorial areas for women and family, the tasks generally depend on the logistics capacity of the vice presidency and deals with cooperation with other national and provincial executions. In this section the tasks are mostly associated with monitoring, evaluation, and coordination of the vice-presidency for women and family affairs.
Activities of the office of planning
Interaction with the monitoring organizations and policymaking authorities in order to participate in policymaking and identifying priorities of women and family areas and inserting related topics within the relevant documents, preparing national reports and monitoring the status of women and family at national level, reflecting the results to the relevant bodies and monitoring organizations. The Office of planning is responsible for coordination, formulation, implementation and evaluation of articles related to national development plan laws related to women and family affairs. Moreover, the formulation, collection and integration of plans from different sections of the vice- presidency for women and family affairs and presenting them to the relevant bodies takes place by this office.
Also, this office is responsible for preparing the performance reports of the vice- presidency. The monitoring of plans and activities that are undertaken by the executive bodies on women and family are also evaluated at this office. On the other hand, affairs dealing with attracting, budgeting and pursuing funding at national and provincial levels as well as coordination for logistics and administration of HR (human resources) are another two tasks undertaken by this office.

Communication with the executive bodies
In line with the upstream documents and the strategic policies of the vice-presidency for women and family affairs and in light of the Second Stride of the Revolution the coordinating group of the executive bodies benefits from the executive bodies’ capacities at national and provincial levels as the strong arms of the execution with the aim of streaming adopted policies and implementation of ratified and future- looking plans.
This group endeavors to stream the macro scale policies of the women and family areas by paving the grounds and facilitation within the framework of agreements and MOUs with other executive bodies and through integrity, synergy of resources and facilities pave the way for identifying the effective participation of women (in advantageous areas).
The most important tasks of this group are: coordination and development of interaction between vice-presidency for women and family affairs and offices of women and family affairs of the executive organizations through holding meetings and conferences, interaction and coordination with offices of women’s affairs of the executive bodies in preparing joint plans and agreement and MOUs for cooperation with the executive bodies, interaction and cooperation with the affiliate units of the vice- presidency in order to receive and review joint plans and programs of cooperation with the executive bodies , coordination and interaction with offices of women and family affairs of the executive bodies and collection and preparation of the reports of the organizations , reviewing and prioritizing plans and programs of the offices of the women and family affairs of the executive bodies , monitoring joint projects with the executive bodies , recommending priority plans for joint cooperation at national and provincial levels.
Interaction with NGOs
This unit is established with the intention of paving the grounds for constructive interaction with NGOs active in women and family areas. Also, cooperation with other active organizations for social participation and interaction with NGOs are part of the agenda of this unit. Similarly, other tasks of this unit include offering plans of the deputy dealing with NGOs and also preparing various reports on the measures undertaken and also updating the data bank for the active NGOs working in women and family areas at national level.
In the same scope the main task of the unit on NGOS are in three areas:
1) Supporting the implementation of joint plans within the framework of MOUs between the deputy and the active NGOs working in women and family areas with various topics such as “Employment and entrepreneurship”, “prevention from social vulnerabilities”, “Strengthening family”, “Health and hygiene”, ….
2) Evaluation and monitoring the functioning of the NGOS dealing with joint plans through various approaches including: a) monitoring of the offices of women and family affairs located in different provinces, b) through receiving written performance reports from those in charge of the plans, 3) organizing, completing and updating data bank on the NGOs through the help of offices of women and family and social affairs of the provinces across the country and the licensor bodies.
