International conference on “The Role of Muslim Women in the Contemporary Era” in New Delhi

The conference on the role of Muslim women in the contemporary era was held on 18th December 2022 at Iran’s cultural centre in New Delhi, India. In this conference which was participated by Mr. Rabani, Iran’s cultural attaché in New Delhi, Dr. Khadijeh Karimi, director general for international affairs of the vice-presidency for women and family  affairs, wife of  Iran ‘s ambassador to India, Dr. Zahrasadat Mir Hashemi , faculty member of Al- Zahra University in Tehran, Ms. Sepideh Ashrafi and Fatemeh Zarei, two Iranian female artists, professor, Seyedeh Belquais Fatemeh Hussaini, former dean of Farsi language department of New Delhi University, Professor Azra Abedi, professor at social sciences department  of the Islamic Nations University, New Delhi, Dr. Abrou Aman Andarabi, associate professor of the Islamic Studies department of New Delhi University and over 100 women and professors as well as  Iranian and Indian women researchers and those interested in the topic took part  discussing the role and status of Muslim women .

 Dr.  Khadijeh Karimi , director general for international affairs department of vice-presidency for women and family affairs  described the achievements gained by the Iranian women and young girls in various walks of life including management, scientific, sports, cultural ,art ,social and economic areas at national and international levels and remarked on the increasing rate of progress and the growth of the status of women in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
