According to the public relations report of the vice-presidency for women and family affairs Dr. Khadijeh Karimi, Director general of the international affairs by presenting a report on the activities and measures undertaken by the general office of the international affairs added: “The successful experiences of the Islamic Republic of Iran in training and women’s raising awareness are part of the successful experiences that can be shared with the global community.”
She continued: “The expansion of IT and communications in recent years through rise in the women’s education opportunities followed by rise in the economic opportunities and employment of women have been effective in the empowerment of women itself.”
Dr. Seyedeh Atefeh Mousavi, advisor to the ministry of IT and ICT in women’s affairs emphasizing on the relatively remarkable advantage of FAVA technology (IT and ICT) for women’s presence, empowerment and employment of women said: “The digital employment, is a family -oriented economy and is surely followed by ample income generation and job opportunities.”
She added: “Due to the complex process and time-consuming transformation from idea to product, the only way to women’s sustainable employment and production is through FAVA research and scientific setting.”
Also in the meeting Ms. Shadjou, representative from the vice-presidency for science, technology and knowledge- based economy referring to the efforts made in promotional activities, raising awareness and development of modern technologies presented a report on the 7- round successful courses which focused on Kimia Empowerment project. She added: “Despite the remarkable achievements and the effective measures undertaken by the institutions dealing with this area, unfortunately there is no news reflection on these achievements.”
Moreover, another admirable achievement gained in the area of women and family is the increasing level of productivity and income generation among the rural and nomadic families nationwide through the help and support of the agriculture ministry.
The representative of IT center from the ministry of education by referring to the fact that education in the Islamic Republic of Iran is free of charge and there are equal opportunities available for both boys and girls said: “The launching of Shad app is one of country’s successful experiences in regards to virtual education.”
Iran-UNESCO national vice-commission for international affairs, Samaneh Yazdani also stressed on the need to allocate a day to commemorate the young girls and women working in the area of FAVA in line with the women’s streaming in the area of modern technology.”
Director of institute supporting women’s rights by referring to the report of the director general of world organization of telecommunication on digital skills for women’s life said: “The governments should promote and raise awareness among women on their rights and their needs while respecting and supporting the rights of women worldwide.”
She who was also representing the civil community referring to the basic challenges that included lack of media literacy in the society said: “Violence in the virtual platform is an issue that threatens work and economic activities in the cyber world therefore, cyber security is a serious demand of the women’s population for their domestic jobs.”
In the meeting which was held by representatives from several executive bodies and NGOs referring to the international research conducted by the United Nations Organization that reported IT and communication have a profound impact on women’s social and economic abilities stated that the special views of the Islamic Republic of Iran while also focuses on the two essential areas of raising awareness and empowerment of women stressed on using the potential abilities of women in the executive programs of the relevant institutions.
