In the IORA meeting Dr. Khazali stated:
The Iranian women have experienced a growing trend in the areas of economic interactions
At the 7th working group meeting on the women’s economic empowerment of the member countries of the Indian Ocean Rim Association, vice-president for women and family affairs emphasized on the remarkable achievements of the Iranian women in various walks of life as they have experienced a growing trend in the economic interactions.
According to the report of the public relations office of the vice-presidency for women and family affairs, Dr. Ensieh Khazali, vice president for women and family affairs who participated at the 7th meeting of the IORA women’s economic empowerment working group while appreciating the serious concerns of the IORA member countries over the improvement of the status and empowerment of women in the IORA region said: “The Islamic Republic of Iran together with a collective will for the progress of women and regarding the special emphases of Islam, the constitution and the national up- stream documents over women’s dignity in various areas in particular, in the economic interactions have experienced a growing trend which today the works of the Iranian women are outshining in various international areas”.
Referring to the actions of the economic terrorists and the unilateral violent measures that have been illegally imposed on the people of Iran and it continues to this day she added: “Now our women are grappling with the impacts of the oppressive sanctions that is threatening their life, health, livelihood, progress and their children.”
Criticizing the act of removing the Iranian women from the Commission on the Status of women’s legal membership the vice-president stated; “The Iranian women became members of the commission on the status of women in the framework of a legal procedure but the act of the western political powers for removing this legal right is not only trampling on the principles of the UN , the belief of the entire world towards multilateralism and disrespecting cultural diversity but this act is a dangerous and incorrect approach which surely will be witnessed to repeat again.”
Dr. Khazali continued: ‘In contrast to all the false claims of the followers of the so- called freedom and cultural diversity, the Iranian women over the past 44 years have fought shoulder to shoulder with men against all forms of unfair and brutal sanctions and attacks working even harder to bring positive changes.’
She expressed hope that through expansion and strengthening of cooperation at regional and international levels we would witness valuable achievements for the Iranian women. She also emphasized on increasing collaboration with the IORA member countries in order to share the experiences of the I. R. Iran in the areas of training and empowerment of women.
