At the IORA women economic empowerment working group it was mentioned: The unique role of Iranian women in creating global art

During the 2 days meeting of the IORA women economic empowerment working group, the successful projects were presented by specialists on Iranian women economic empowerment to the foreign participants and the unique role of women in creating global art was emphasized.

 

According to the public relations of the vice-presidency for women and family affairs During the 2 days meeting of the IORA women economic empowerment working group which was held in Tehran, the successful projects were presented by specialists on Iranian women economic empowerment to the foreign participants and the unique role of women in creating global art was emphasized.

Dr. Mohammad Sadegh Bijandi faculty member and director of women’s empowerment project delivered his speech at the IORA member countries women empowerment panel discussion and elaborated on the sustainability of the market and standardization of the domestic jobs as the prerequisite of the project.

 He added: “With the incumbency of the 13th government we tried to support the domestic jobs and create a market and we tried to observe international standards through OHOP branding  so that the domestic jobs would enter the national plan  for supporting domestic jobs  as part of the people’s interests and culture and today we believe that if OHOP is implemented accurately  it would create sustainable jobs  in an extensive way.

This university professor carried on giving examples on some of the domestic products nationwide and offered a recommendation for supporting domestic production with regards to Iran’s capability to the member countries that OHOP can be transferred to women’s economic empowerment of the IORA member countries. In fact, this project means that the domestic products should observe the international standards in their products.

Dr. Bijandi offered one of its products that had received the OHOP standards to the foreign guests present at the meeting.

The second part of the panel discussion on women’s empowerment   dealt with introducing one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the field of jewelry cutting elaborating the successful examples of Iranian women’s presence in the field of jewelry industry.

  Referring to sideline exhibition on jewelry Iran’s successful participation in 41 international exhibitions with presentation of jewelry products with the highest standards were explained.

 This entrepreneur besides explaining about the precious gems in the world  as part of the first five important industry in the world said:        ‘considering the possibility of extracting over 46tons of gold from the mines in Iran in 2017 this industry can be replaced by oil as one of the largest industries in Iran.

She reminded :    ‘considering the fact that this industry has begun with the least facilities and now there are over 600 women and young women active in this area they have achieved tremendously in the jewelry industry  so working together as members of IORA   helping to promote this industry in the world markets can surely be a very good opportunity for developing bilateral collaboration for women.

 

 

Another top entrepreneur spoke about the role of biotechnology in economy and health.

  Emphasizing on the importance of biotechnology in the economy and health she stated: “I would like to refer to a very precious gem in my country. I live in a country that every day my leader states that knowledge is power “Al-Elmo Al-soltan”. And I am happy to have students who generate wealth from their knowledge for one of the most wealth generating sciences is biotechnology which is made up of both industry and medicine.”

 In another part of panel discussion Dr. Seyedeh Fatimeh Mousavi, Director general of the coordination of the vice-presidency for women and family affairs  elaborated on the services of the vice-presidency for women and family affairs in line with the project of sustainable businesses which is currently implemented in different provinces of the country .

She explained that the successful method for starting a business begins with identifying applicants and extends to finding their talents and leading up to their empowerment and joining them to the market and reminded that this project helps improve women’s role in the economy of the household, it helps  empower women  headed households,  it supports local  products in the marketing networks.
In another part of the panel discussion, Dr. Farahnaz Rafeh, president of Iran national carpet center spoke of women’s  capability in the hand weaving carpet  and said:  “With their skill and profession the Iranian women have created a global art unique in its own way.” Referring to some of the works of women in the Iranian carpet industry she   reported on their hybrid innovation in developing carpet weaving in other arts such as fashion and invited the IORA member countries  to take part at the carpet festivals and OLYMPIADS and Iran’s luxury rugs in order to develop bilateral economic interactions.

In the end, the representatives from the IORA member countries   each joined the carpet weaving device as a symbol of peace and added a knot to the Iranian carpet.
