As the head of the women economic empowerment working group of IORA Iran held the 7th meeting of this working group in the form of a 2-day meeting in Tehran - Iran with sideline training workshops.

According to the public relations of the vice-presidency for women and family affairs, since last year Iran is holding the position of the head of IORA women economic empowerment working group. This time, the meeting was held in the form of a two -day event in Tehran -Iran.

The Indian Ocean plays a pivotal role in the changes occurring in the 21st century. A role that was played in the Pacific Ocean in the 20th century and the Atlantic Ocean in the 19th century.  Now, the Indian Ocean is considered a strategic passageway for connecting trade and cultural ties between the 3 continents of Asia, Africa and Europe. Moreover, there was once a time that access to fossil energies and mine resources existing beneath the ocean bed were unimaginable but now, extra significance is given to this deep blue ocean.

furthermore, currently half of the container’s ships compose one- third of the trade transportation and two -thirds of the oil tankers are passing through the Indian Ocean comprised of 2.6 million population.
