At the sideline of the 66th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women In NY Dr. Khazali vice-president for women and family affairs met with Ms. Sima Bahouth, the executive director of UN Women .

 During the meeting some of the works in Iran including  helping the refugees and women  who were dropped from education in Afghanistan, the women economic empowerment programs at national and at IORA  level, the achievements of the country for  raising awareness among women in the rural areas and in countering natural disasters, supporting women working through facilities such as distance working , allocating a duration of 9 month maternity leave and implementing mechanisms for protecting women in the work place were mentioned.

 Later, the status of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards the convention on the elimination of all forms of discrimination and issues related to early child marriage were discussed.
