The Saadabad palace museum was host for the joint meeting between the first lady of Venezuela and vice-president for women and family affairs. In the meeting Cilia Flores and Ensieh Khazali deputies and the deputies of Venezuela foreign ministry were also present.

In the meeting the two sides talked of some joint areas regarding women of both countries and exchanged their views. It was also agreed to sign joint cooperation MOUs with ministry of culture and ministry of women in the next meeting. At the end both sides exchanged gifts.

Cilia Flores has a record of holding several state positions such as a   parliament member and general prosecutor of Venezuela.

President Nicholas Maduro arrived in Tehran in June at the head of a delegation accompanied by his wife Cilia Flores.
