Vice-president for women and family affairs meets with the Shiite and Sunni leaders from Georgia

According to the vice-presidency for women and family affairs at this meeting which was hosted by the international office of the vice-presidency for women and family affairs Mr. Hajj Ali Aliev, the popular leader from Georgia referred to the very suitable capacities existing in Georgia in various economic, cultural and trade areas and the country’s interest to expand collaboration with Iran.

He continued: “Georgia can play the role of a mediator in promoting and expanding economic ties between Iran and the EU and also in the economic, cultural and trade relations with countries that have shared interests”. He added: “The Arab and Turkish companies in Georgia have a successful presence in Georgia and my country wishes Iran to have a more active role in tourism and industrial areas.”

 Dr. Khazali while welcoming the areas mentioned by Mr. Aliev expressed:

“Women can play a very effective role in various walks of life and I would like to invite successful Georgian women to visit Iran for exchange of experience with successful Iranian women in particular, in the economic and entrepreneurship areas.”

 The vice-president continued that the holding of exhibitions and entrepreneur workshops run by women are one of the very good economic capacities for expanding bilateral relations which was agreed and welcomed by Mr. Aliev.

At the end of the visit both sides called for the expansion of cooperation and scientific exchange between Iran and Georgia.
