In the meeting, vice-president for women and family affairs Dr. Ensieh Khazali, while referring to the political and cultural participation of Iran and Venezuela and the challenges resulting from the forced unilateral actions against the two countries referred to the growth and empowerment of Iranian women despite the imposed sanctions.

Gabriela Jimenez described her country’s experience in fighting US sanctions and its hostile interventions that caused unrest and formed opposition parties against the government of Venezuela as some of the examples of her country’s efforts for achieving independence and self- sufficiency and added:

“Women play a key role in identifying and neutralizing conspiracies and culturalism in the society.”

At the end both sides emphasized on the expansion of ties in various areas including science and technology, trade and entrepreneurship.
