Deputy foreign minister addressing the foreign ambassadors to Tehran said: 

“Have you heard about the two names of Zahra Poppei and the 10 year old Amir Hossain Narouie and the other 623 patients with Thalassemia who were killed because of lack of access to medicine due to the unilateral sanctions since 2019?”

 In a meeting with ambassadors and foreign representatives stationed in Tehran while expressing his appreciation to all those countries who condemned the terrorist attack at the Shacheragh shrine in Shiraz and those who expressed their sympathy to the people of Iran said: “Terrorism is a threat that should be detested by everyone.  No sane human being would approve such a phenomenon that violates all common human values by killing a group of innocent people.

The terrorist attack in Shiraz made the Islamic Republic of Iran stronger and firmer in fighting terrorism.”

 He added: “The terrorist attack in Shiraz is a proof to the truth of our cause and our solidarity for standing relentlessly against ISIS violent extremism and terrorism in the region. This terrorist attack showed to what extend we and in fact the entire region and the world are indebted to martyr General Soleimani. The martyr who proved to be the strongest power against ISIS terrorists.

No wonder that he was assassinated by that very Trump who had earlier confessed that ISIS was the product of the USA.”

Deputy foreign minister in political affairs further said:

“It will be the work of a simpleton to disassociate the ISIS terrorist attacks from the destabilizing campaign located in a number of western countries who are engaged in spreading fabricated stories and inciting violence and hatred through the social media and television channels located in London and in other similar countries.

He stated: “For long it is proved to all that ISIS and other extremist groups make use of any form of conditions that they deem illegal and disorderly in order to expand terrorism and violence. The terrorist attack in Shiraz that took the lives of 15 innocent people including women and children made the Islamic Republic of Iran   even stronger and more steadfast to fight terrorism.

“But unfortunately, and with disappointment we should note that some western countries failed to express their dismay   towards this terrorist attack and even avoided to condemn this terrorist attack even in the verbal form and they even failed to sympathize with the child who lost his parents and brother   due to this attack.”

Spreading hatred and inciting violence through a number of Farsi speaking television networks located in the US, UK and Europe

 This senior diplomat addressing the participating ambassadors at the meeting stated: “The Islamic Republic of Iran is mature enough to be well aware that it will not only stop terrorism to misuse peaceful public gatherings but it will certainly not allow the terrorist groups to turn these gatherings from its peaceful notion.”

Bagheri continued: “The peaceful gatherings were formed following the sad death of Mahsa Amini with people showing their spirit of sympathy and solidarity across the country regardless of the race and religion who share their happiness and sorrow. This itself is a display of the values and common feelings that exist among the Iranian people.

He reminded: “However, these peaceful gatherings were led to violence due to intervention of certain groups and opportunists and terrorists who are highly experienced in creating violence and hatred. A number of Farsi speaking television channels located in the US and some European countries including UK and the social media began spreading hatred and inciting violence as part of their task for implementing their pre-divided plan.”

Deputy foreign minister by referring to the fact that the extend and volume of projecting falsehood and spreading fabricated information in six weeks was something unheard of said: “During that time the false claims were spread and the realities were easily ignored or distorted and false narratives were spread at an unthinkable speed. The violence that was imposed on our citizens through inciting interventions and ill -intentions led to the killing of a number of our innocent people including 30 police officers and hundreds of public and private places were demolished and burnt down; even ambulances and fire fighter engines were not safe from the violence and many health workers and firemen were brutally attacked and injured.”

He also said: The security and police force based on the latest instructions showed maximum self -continence even when encountering some brutal attacks by some rioters who had infiltrated the peaceful gatherings. The high rate of casualties among the security forces from the hate inciting terrorists and those separatists who by using firearms against the police and by targeting innocent people with the aim of instigating more violence penetrated in the peaceful gatherings and led them to show more violence.”

By reminding that the role of some of the western networks and media for fanning the flames of violence is undeniable added: “The terrorist groups and the separatists while they are fully immune in the form of press but they actively pursued violence and sabotage. These media are funded and supported by some of the European countries without being accountable for consequences of their evil campaigns, campaigns that can be part of a widespread war against the people of Iran.

The US, the EU and other countries that follow must be accountable for the heavy imposed sanctions.”

 

He further said: “The Israeli regime who for long dreams of destabilizing Iran and has a long record of interventions and military invasions, terrorist attacks and systematic sabotage against many countries in the region continues to pursue its evil objectives.”

Bagheri carried on addressing the participants: “Please do not forget that Iran previously was under the toughest unilateral US and EU economic sanctions followed by the illegal US departure from JCPOA. I should restress that not only the United States of America as the main factor for imposing sanctions but also the EU, the European Troika and other countries that follow them should be accountable for the heavy consequences of such sanctions against the basic human rights of the people of Iran.”

He asked: “When the European countries are partners in the US crimes against the Iranian citizens how can the people of Iran believe that they are really concerned for the human rights values?”

Bagheri  called the unilateral  illegal  and cruel sanctions against the people of Iran as one of the biggest projects of the systematic violation of human rights in the world and the US is the director of this project said: “The aim of this project is merely to lead the people of Iran to a dilemma: death or submission!”

Have you ever heard of the 10 year old Zahra Popiee from Loristan and the 10 year old Amirhossain Narouie from Zabol and the rest of 623 patients with Thalassemia who died since 2019 due to the unilateral cruel sanctions that prevented access to the medicines they required ?”

 Addressing the participants, he asked: “Do you know how many of my fellow citizens have been killed, injured, unemployed and their income drastically declined or they were denied access to human rights aid    by the silent bullets of the cruel unilateral sanctions?”

  Now the question of the innocent people whose basic human rights is violated is this: “Which country will deal with the systematic, widespread and continuous violations of the rights of the people of Iran caused by the unilateral sanctions imposed on them?”

Deputy foreign minister for political affairs added: “Have you  ever asked yourselves that despite hearing the name of Mahsa Amini in the past  recent weeks over and over again through the western officials and media news  but you have never heard of the names of the 10 year old Zahra Popiee from Loristan and the 10 year old Amir Hossain Narouie from Zabol and the 623 patients of Thalassemia  who are killed since 2019 due to the cruel unilateral sanctions that prevented them from access to their medicines. The answer is very simple: those who impose sanctions would never admit to their crimes perpetuated through sanctions let alone to make it known through the media and political atmosphere.”

He continued addressing the ambassadors and the foreign representatives stationed in Tehran by stating that the Islamic Republic of Iran reemphasizes on the firm belief  in human rights including the right to hold peaceful gatherings and added :  “We condemn the reckless  foreign interventions and  ill- intended media campaigns  that turn such peaceful gatherings into violence .The infiltration of the extremist  and terrorist elements in the peaceful gatherings must be condemned and neither yielded  nor appeased.”

 

Warning on the consequences of the constant abuse from the international organizations for advancing political interests

He continued: “As it was previously reiterated by the UN special rapporteur on the freedom of gathering and peaceful campaigns: “Protests and protest rallies should be peaceful in order to be protected by the international  human rights laws” the right to peaceful protest must not be an excuse for conducting violence.” We believe that it is the task of the governments to distinguish between peaceful and unpeaceful protests. While the former should be respected and supported the latter should be prosecuted and should be handed to justice.”

He also invited all the countries to observe the rule of law and  respect the principles of the international rights and the Charter of the United Nations and added: “Implementing unilateral coercive  measures in any form and intervention in the internal affairs of other countries are the two side of one coin; they should both be condemned and terminated.”

Deputy foreign minister also warned on the consequences of constantly abusing the international organizations for advancing political interests and said: “The evil campaigns led by the US against the Islamic Republic of Iran in New York and Geneva are exactly in the same line of the endless hostile stance of this country for putting Iran under pressure and  portraying an evil image of my country to the world. The USA is supposedly downgrading the level of the United Nations Organization including the Security Council of the United Nations Organizations and the Human rights Council to an instrument for granting rewards to friends and punishing its foes. No independent and responsible country could allow the US and its allies to misuse the UN system against its members.”

He said: “With full awareness I call every country to disallow the US to establish another dangerous practice of distorting and abusing the international organizations.”
