The vice-president for women and family affairs by referring to the international congress on women of influence held on 20th January 2023, said: “The goal of holding this congress is to move ahead and promote interaction between the women in Iran and worldwide.”

She continued: “The national congress was held on 17th, January where the prominent influential women were awarded. Of course, some of these Iranian women were also admired in the international congress.”

Dr. Khazali added: “A number of women elites were identified from across the world and some of them were praised and awarded. In this congress representatives of 96 countries and 70 high ranking women officials took part.”

With further explanation Dr. Khazali added: “On the sideline events of the congress there were several bilateral meetings held between the participating ministers and their counterparts.”

She went further stating: “Moreover, several meetings were held with the vice -president for women and family affairs with a signing of MOUs. Over ten cooperation papers are prepared to hopefully provide the means for continuing collaboration so that we would witness appropriate interaction and synergy among the women at international level.

 In response to the question raised regarding Iran’s termination of membership at CSW and the message of this congress to the world, she said that the world bully is unable to force and dictate to the world in particular, to women; the women themselves will independently keep their connections and we will let the world hear our voice.
