Opening of the Civilization and Clothing Exhibition of Iranian Women at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva

The General Directorate of International Affairs of the Vice President for Women and Family Affairs in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Geneva, the General Directorate of Women and Human Rights of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a number of artists active in the field of clothing design, organized civilization and clothing Iranian women Exhibition named by "Thousand Stories of Iranian Clothing" on Monday (July 12, 1402) at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva.

At the opening of this exhibition, which held with the presence of the Director-General of the United Nations, the ambassador and permanent representative of our country to the United Nations in Geneva, and a group of ambassadors, diplomats and employees of international organizations and those interested in Iranian art and culture, Tatyana Valvaya, the Director-General of the United Nations Office in Geneva, With a speech, while appreciating the presentation of Iranian art at the United Nations and admiring the authentic Iranian art, considered the language of art to be a universal language.

Designing the clothes of Iranian women's exhibitions is considered to be a noble art and one of the diverse capabilities of Iranian women, and one of the manifestations of a worthy owner by women.

Ali Bahreini, the ambassador and permanent representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Geneva, also pointed out the roots of modesty, dress, creativity and beauty in Iranian women clothing throughout history: today, preservation of this cultural and civilizational identity has a special position for Iranian women. He considered this exhibition as a step in the direction of artistic diplomacy, which strengthens the relationship between cultures and countries without the need for translation, and considered it as a window to the world of Iranian women from their perspective.

This exhibition will continue until July 14 at the headquarters of the United Nations.
