Dr. Ensieh Khazali, the vice president for women and family affairs, who has traveled to Uzbekistan to participate in the international meeting of the women's forum, arrived in Tashkent this morning and was officially welcomed by local officials, including Zulikha Mukhamov, the deputy prime minister of Uzbekistan.
As the first foreign speaker of this meeting, Dr. Khazali, referring to the high position of women in the Islamic Republic of Iran and the existence of numerous laws and regulations in the framework of the fulfillment of their material and spiritual rights, stated: The Islamic Republic of Iran believes that women not only can play the role of mothers and wives, also take effective steps to improve themselves and society.
She also said: the brilliant achievements and statistics of Iranian women in various fields such as education, improvement of the life expectancy index, strong and effective presence of women in the field of health and treatment, allocation of extensive insurance coverage to them, the role of women in scientific management such as knowledge-based companies, active presence in Agriculture, industries, architecture, food and medicine sectors, presence in entrepreneurship field, economic activists and businesswomen, proved many unsaid issues in the field of women.
The Vice President for Women and Family Affairs stated: The Islamic Republic of Iran has become one of the first successful countries in the world in terms of establishing educational justice by reducing the gender gap in the field of education for women and girls to 97%.
Dr. Khazali noted that the life expectancy index of Iranian women has reached 78 years and the maternal mortality rate due to childbirth complications has significantly decreased to less than 20 cases per 100,000 people.
She pointed out the fruitful presence of Iranian women in the field of professional sports and the impressive achievement of international medals and emphasized the active presence of women in the field of art, cinema and media.
The university professor also announced the implementation of the program and strategy of the sustainable business system for women heads of households and the women's rural micro fund in the framework of their economic empowerment and said: Under the existing 2 thousand cooperatives for women, 60 thousand women have access to employment and the sales market.
Dr. Khazali continued: These achievements were achieved despite illegal unilateral sanctions, and the Islamic Republic of Iran will continue the progress of human development indicators and raising the status of women in the future with extra determination and motivation.
In four issues related to women, he suggested cooperation with Central Asian countries and other participants from other countries and said: These suggestions include support for knowledge-based companies managed by women, cooperation to create women's organizations against all kinds of corruption, especially in the field of work and employment, fighting harms such as drugs and women trafficking and improving the status of the family and their health and stability.
The Vice President for Women and Family Affairs emphasized the need to fight against the "wrong and destructive policies that are going on at the international level to divert the family from its natural path" and announced the readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to share its experiences and positive actions.
