Oman's Social Development Minister's visit to Iran and expansion of women cooperation in the two countries

Oman's Minister of Social Development, Ms. Laila Ahmed al-Najjar, made a visit to our country at the invitation of the I.R. of Iran's Vice-President for Women and Family Affairs, Dr. Khazali, as reported by the International Directorate of the Vice-Presidency for Women and Family Affairs.

She had a tight schedule during 26-27 April in Tehran, where she expressed her gladness and surprise for getting familiar with the capabilities of our country, especially in terms of women and family affairs.

Among the programs of the three-day visit of Minister of Social Development of Oman to the Islamic Republic of Iran were the bilateral meetings with the Vice-President for Women and Family Affairs; Vice-President and the Head of Environment Department; Minister for Tourism, Handicrafts and Cultural Heritage; attending the opening ceremony of the Iran Expo 2024 where our president made an speech; inspecting the achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the fields of technology, art, industries, innovation, and various occupations in the Tehran International Exhibition; visiting Ameneh nursery; visiting the Slama Delight of Life and Quasi-Family Center and meeting with the officials from the Welfare Organization, meeting with the chancellor and officials of the Al-Zahra University as well as visiting several scientific and cultural centers of the country.

Ms. Laila al-Najjar described Iran's growth and development and the strong presence of women at various arenas as considerable, and suggested that women activities expand cooperation, exchange experiences and increase the level of interactions.

Oman's Social Development Minister left Tehran Sunday night for Muscat, while the Iranian Vice-President for Women and Family Affairs see her off.
