Dr. Khazali proposed: We are looking for global commonalities in the family affairs

In an expert meeting with the women and family professionals, the vice presidence for Women and Family Affairsconveyed condolences for the martyrdom of the Iranian President and his companions and said: “Following the order by the Vice President that no action and program should be halted, we held today’s program according to preset plans so as to help put into practice the objectives of the late President in the project innovated by him.”

She added: “Our nation has suffered lots of difficulties and pains but has stayed robustly and has turned the challenges into opportunities. In the same way, this painful accident will also turn into an opportunity and we will take giant strides toward our goals through national cohesion.”

Dr. Khazali continued: “We follow the plan that the late President presented at the international level. Our objective is to collect and put into practice different opinions before the plan is finalized.”

Pointing out that a survey about the family commitment movement document has been made among all executive organizations related to the concept of family, she stated: “We invited groups related to women because we postulated that this plan might not have been specifically discussed with scholars. Therefore, along with the research directions that have been posted on the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology website, we are supporting suggested directions for theses, post-doc projects, and university professors’ suggested plans targeting the natural and innate family.”

The Vice President for Women and Family Affairs also mentioned: “Our purpose is to operationalize this document so as to introduce the standard family to the world and remove the shortcomings of laws and bylaws in this regard. To this end, measures such as the prevention of divorce via Hamsaz platform, discussions about economic and cultural aspects of the population, and development of successful family indicators have been performed and now we want to enact the family symbol.”

Emphasizing that our foundations might be somewhat different from other countries, she stated: “Religious discussions have remarkable traces in this document at the national level, but at the regional level we will adopt a trans-religious viewpoint because there are many religions and religious sects that lay importance on the concept of original and innate family.”

Dr. Khazali finally said: “We seek to find commonalities in the family domain. With regard to the discussion of traditionalist and modernist families, we want to attain a third model that both preserves the values and moves along with the present era and its requirements. This document is currently at the national level, and after introducing the indicators of the standard family at this level, we will move to the international level.”
