According to the International Office of the Iranian Vice Presidency for Women and Family Affairs, Dr. Khazali hosted a group of Jewish rabbis on May 28, 2024, who had traveled to Iran to convey condolence and attend the burial ceremony of the late President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and his companions.
In this meeting, Mr. Yisroel Dovid Weiss acted as the representative of the visiting group and said: “Many years ago, God helped us to get familiar with the Islamic Republic [of Iran]. His Highness Ayatollah Khomeini separated Judaism from Zionism and introduced the two as totally different, and this is the reason for the propaganda against Iran and its fight against Zionism, a fight which is not against Judaism.”
He remembered our martyred President as very popular and hardworking and added: “In his funeral, people’s love of your Leader and President was evident. As we walked, we just saw crowds of people, waves of people; we started to feel soreness in our feet [due to the long walk] but the crowds of people did not end.”
With regard to the women and family matters, the guests pointed out the Iranian people’s piety and faith, and they deemed it as a factor in preserving families and preventing harms.
Then, Dr. Khazali pointed to the necessity of unity among followers of divine religions and stated: “Imam Khomeini (ra) believed that ‘If all prophets coexisted at a time, there would be no difference among them because all of them pursued one ultimate end and divine goal.’ If the followers of religions act based on this view and think about a larger goal, all of them can get united, and this way we will have a more beautiful world.”
She continued: “Your words about our late President are truly correct. The enemy tried to attack and damage him and his status, but God selected him over them once again. With his martyrdom, once more people’s love for the Leader and the President became evident on the streets.”
The Vice President added: “The sublime God says in the Quran that if one does deeds for the sake of God, He will put his love into people’s hearts. We observed part of this love and interest in the burial ceremony of the martyred president and his companions.
She then added: “In order to continue the path of our martyred President, another duty of us is to stand against deviations that the demons propose so as to distance humans from the natural and innate life. It is upon us to stand against them in order to preserve humanity and morality. The concepts of hijab and pudency have been discussed in all religions, and all religions believe in hijab. All religions hold a high regard for women and it is our responsibility to try to preserve values in society and family and preserve women’s identity.”
She announced that a webinar on the global “Family Commitment Movement” will be held following an initiative in the UN introduced by our martyred president. To this end, she invited the rabbis as well as all thinkers and activists of the family domain to cooperate in order to support the family foundation.
