In the unveiling of the Global Movement of Commitment to the Family document, the vice president for women and Family Affairs highlighted that this document aims to prevent the distortions of the family concept as introduced by the West.
During a press conference in honor of Family Week with the theme "Achievements in the area of Women and Family in the Martyr President's Administration," Dr. Ensieh Khazali presented the "Global Movement of Commitment to the Family" document, reflecting on the two years and ten months performance of the Thirteenth Government.
She added that Martyr Ebrahim Raisi at the 78th United Nations General Assembly, emphasized the significance of forming a global movement to support families and counter the war against them.
Dr. Khazali, emphasizing the importance of this global movement, stated that this document aims to support the natural family and prevent the distortions prevalent in the West. It has been developed in coordination with the Communication Organization, the Ministry of Health, the Population Headquarters, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is currently under review by the Cultural Commission. Discussions have also been held with international pro-family organizations and some aligned countries.
Reverse Migration of Women through Job Creation
She added that one of Martyr Raisi's concerns, in line with his electoral slogan, was on women heads of households. Hence, a guarantee fund frequently requested during his trips was established. Additionally, the development of family-based businesses, securing funding for local markets during provincial trips, and creating virtual markets for promoting and selling products made by women heads of households are among the achievements of the thirteen's Government. According to the Vice President for Women and Family Affairs, 41% of the 2.6 million jobs created belong to women. Furthermore, due to the flourishing of rural jobs, there is an observable reverse migration of women from cities to villages.
She continued that a comprehensive support plan for these women has been sent to the commissions, resulting in the approval of a one-stop window for women. This window encompasses consulting and support services for women.
Addressing the harms of divorce, Dr. Khazali mentioned that, after employment, the second most important issue for the President was mitigating family harms. The "Newlywed Plan" and measures for preventing divorce were approved and communicated. A directive has been formulated to combat women and family harms such as divorce and suicide, currently being implemented in Qom and Semnan.
Education for Men in the Family Transformation Document
Regarding the family counseling document, the Vice President For Women and Family Affairs stated that since 2013, this topic has been part of the cultural engineering document's responsibilities for Women's Affairs, but it was not pursued. Fortunately, in this period, it has reached a conclusion, and this document is ready and will support the Seventh Plan.
She emphasized that programs such as the "Glory of Life", support for the revival of the Prophet's tradition, the "Hoda Plan," University student marriages, "Enduring love" for villagers, land grants for families with four or more children, the "Melody of life" plan to prevent suicide, and the "Women for Female Prisoners" plan are also being implemented.
Dr. Khazali continued that one of the items in that Transformation Document is the education for men and soldiers. In collaboration with the Armed Forces, these family communication skill-training courses are conducted.
Martyr President’s Emphasis on the Implementation of Plans
She pointed out that one of martyr Raisi's key emphases was on the implementation of resolutions by the councils and supreme bodies, ensuring that no subsequent meetings were held until previous decisions were executed. Consequently, the "Newlywed Plan," "Unified Approach," "Family Atlas Statistics Integration," and the "Guarantee Fund" were swiftly implemented.
The Vice President for Women and Family Affairs mentioned that in her first press conference at Women's Affairs, some mothers complained that they were not given their children's report cards. This issue was reported to the President, who followed up and resolved the matter. With the amendment of the Education Ministry's directive, it was decided that report cards and files would be given to mothers.
