The Exhibition on “Women&#rsquo;s Achievements”

The Vice Presidency for Women and Family Affairs, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, organized the exhibition "Iranian Women, Untold Stories" on Monday, 11 March, 2025, according to the Public Relations Office of the Vice Presidency for Women and Family Affairs

The Vice Presidency for Women and Family Affairs, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, organized the exhibition "Iranian Women, Untold Stories" on Monday, 11 March, 2025, according to the Public Relations Office of the Vice Presidency for Women and Family Affairs. The purpose of the exhibition was to provide a platform that emphasizes the Iranian women’s achievements at both national and international levels.

 The exhibition took place in Hall A37 at the Tehran International Exhibitions Center, known as the Innovation and Technology House of Iran (iHit), and was attended by Ambassadors residents in Iran along with their spouses as distinguished guests, Iranian officials, and representatives from both Governmental and Non-governmental organizations.

Mrs. Zahra Behrouz Azar, the Vice President of Women and Family Affairs, delivered a speech at the exhibition, expressing hopes for the progress and improvement of women's situations worldwide and highlighting the Islamic Republic of Iran's strong dedication to enhancing women's empowerment.

While highlighting the importance of women's dignity in Islam and the Iranian Constitution, she mentioned that the Islamic Republic of Iran has made significant efforts to enhance the conditions of Iranian women and girls, especially by acknowledging the family's role in creating a safe and peaceful society.

Mrs. Behrouz Azar also mentioned the Islamic Republic of Iran's achievements in empowering women despite unfair coercive measures, highlighting advancements such as the increase in women's life expectancy to 78 years, a significant reduction in maternal mortality, and a rise in the percentage of women in medical and scientific professions.

Furthermore, she pointed to Iranian women's achievements in technology, entrepreneurship, and business management, noting that women constitute 34% of the members of economic companies and 5,776 women's cooperatives in the country.

She also pointed out Iran's efforts to increase women's participation in political, technological, and economic affairs and stated that the presence of women in the government cabinet and different levels of management has provided more opportunities for women's cooperation and spreading gender balance.

The Governmental and Non-governmental organizations including the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology and knowledge-based economy, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Sport and Youth, the State Welfare Organization, the Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation, the Taak Institute, IFA institute, the Royan Research Institute and the Technical and Vocational Training Organization were among the exhibitors and presented their most significant achievements regarding women and family affairs.

It should be mentioned that Dr. Gharib Abadi, the Deputy of legal and international affairs of the ministry of foreign affairs, and Dr. Fatemi, the International Affairs Advisor to the Vice President for Women and Family affairs, were the other speakers of this event.
