According to the International Affairs Office of the Vice Presidency for Women and Family Affairs, the significant event titled "Interactive Process for Establishing the Iran Office of the BRICS Women's Business Alliance" was held on Wednesday and Thursday, the 1st and 2nd of Esfand 1403 (February 21-22, 2024), at the Vice Presidency. A group of entrepreneurs and representatives from the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy attended the event.

This event was organized to lay the groundwork for enhancing the capabilities of Iran's women entrepreneurs, enabling their active and dynamic presence in the international arena, strengthening international collaborations, and expanding their trade interactions with BRICS member countries (Islamic Republic of Iran, Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Indonesia, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, and Nigeria).

The event to establish the Iran Office of the BRICS Women's Business Alliance focused on competency-based and interactive assessment processes. It aimed to evaluate the participants' capabilities and competencies in analytical, managerial, and communication skills and their ability to monitor and analyze the international business environment.

Participants engaged in various individual and group exercises, including interviews, group discussions, English presentations, analytical thinking tests, and personality assessments conducted by behavioral and organizational experts. At the end of the event, these experts held an evaluators' consensus meeting to discuss and review the participant's performance in each competency.

Based on the evaluation results, top performers will be selected as members of the Iran Office of the BRICS Women's Business Alliance. They will contribute to five working groups: Inclusive Economy, Innovative and Creative Development and Tourism, Healthcare, Food Security, and Environment, playing a key role in developing Iran's trade and cultural interactions with BRICS member countries.

It is worth noting that the systematic and interactive method used to identify the members of the Iran Office represents a significant step toward enhancing women's participation in decision-making processes and strengthening the presence of Iranian women in international arenas. It also aims to leverage BRICS member countries' trade and economic capacities. The establishment of the Iran Office of the BRICS Women's Business Alliance is expected to pave the way for broader and more effective economic, cultural, and social collaborations between Iran and the member countries of this alliance.
