Mrs. Zahra Behrouz Azar, the Vice President for Women and Family Affairs, embarked on her first provincial trip in 1404 (2025) to Qeshm Island. This visit was a clear demonstration of her commitment to supporting the capabilities of local women, promoting tourism potential, and preserving the island's cultural heritage.

During the trip, the Vice President met with a group of women active in various fields including: scientific, religious, cultural, medical, and NGOs. Mrs. Behrouz Azar emphasized the pivotal role of women in managing families and the island's society. She stated: "Qeshm's women possess remarkable skills in identifying business opportunities and turning them into successful ventures. They have learned how to achieve economic benefits while upholding environmental, cultural, and social values, effectively implementing social entrepreneurship. Attendees shared their concerns and proposed initiatives, discussed key issues in healthcare, education, export development, and home-based businesses, and presented ideas and solutions regarding the island's challenges. 

Other highlights of this trip included visits to the Chahkooh Canyon, Qeshm women's handicraft exhibitions, the "Saraye Omid" center, several villages, the Qeshm Geopark Museum, the historic Laft Port, the Qeshm Women's Park, the Hoja Handicraft Gallery, and an eco-tourism lodge. 

The Vice President's visit to Qeshm Island underscored the government's commitment to empowering women, preserving Indigenous heritage, and fostering sustainable tourism. This vision of development harmonizes economic growth, cultural preservation, and environmental protection.
