According to the public relation of the Vice Presidency for Women and Family Affairs of IRI, Dr. Zahra Rahaei, in her letter, stated that” In the spirit of solidarity, peace, and our shared commitment to women’s empowerment and sustainable economic development, I write to you with resolute purpose that the recent military aggression by Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran is a grave violation of international law, human rights, and the principle of peaceful diplomacy.” She also said that “As women leaders in international business in the BRICS nations, it is both our moral and strategic responsibility to raise our voices. We know that in any war, it is women and children who suffer the most. I respectfully urge each of you to consider issuing a joint statement or declaration and to ask your respective governments to condemn this aggression and uphold international human rights and diplomatic norms.” She concluded that “Let us oppose war not only as an act of violence but as an obstacle to the economic inclusion and empowerment of women everywhere.”
