"At the meeting with the presence of international directors of executive bodies, emphasis was placed on unified policymaking for the preparation of international reports in the field of women."

According to the Public Relations Department of the Vice Presidency for Women and Family Affairs, the vice presidency hosted a meeting on August 26, 2025, with directors, heads of offices, and experts in international affairs from executive bodies.

Mrs. Fatemi, the Director General of International Affairs, explained that the primary goal of the session was to establish coordination in international interactions and develop joint solutions for providing global organizations with more effective and robust reports. She pointed out the current challenges, noting that the lack of complete and gender-disaggregated data is a significant obstacle, and more complete and up-to-date data would present Iran's performance in international arenas more accurately and effectively.

She stated that showcasing achievements and providing legal support for women and families is a necessary strategy. She also added that having Iranian female entrepreneurs and leaders present at international events could offer a more accurate picture than official reports. Additionally, she discussed the establishment of the BRICS Women's Business Alliance office and plans to create an economic cooperation office in Africa. She emphasized the importance of building international networks to enhance women's roles in economy, science, and culture.

She also emphasized the need to improve coordination among national organizations and to define specific indicators, and announced that a working group to adjust international indicators has been formed recently. She said that having access to a comprehensive database is essential and called for the cooperation of all organizations to achieve this goal.

Mrs. Bahadori, the Director General of the Office of the Vice Presidency for Women and Family Affairs, referred to past plans and experiences in the international arena. She stated that this Vice Presidency has worked during various periods to create a clear and coordinated national effort by gathering reports from different organizations. She hopes that better cooperation among organizations will lead to a more effective roadmap, providing quicker responses and more efficient activities to increase the impact of the measures taken.

In another part of the meeting, a comprehensive report on the programs and activities of the International Affairs' Office of the Vice Presidency in the field of women and human rights, including establishing a specialized database to monitor UN documents and resolutions, producing scientific and explanatory content, developing regional and international interactions and cooperation, etc., was presented to the guests.

In the second part of the meeting, the discussion shifted to the international activities of executive bodies. Participants had a chance to discuss the challenges their respective organizations are facing, including the absence of gender-specific indicators and communication issues between headquarters and provincial offices. The need for the Vice-Presidency to create policy and develop a consistent model and framework for reporting preparation and gathering data for international claims was highlighted.
