At the closing ceremony of the BRICS Women's Ministerial Meeting, Mrs. Fatemi, the director general of international affairs, appreciated the hospitality of the government and people of India and honored the memory of the late Supreme Leader of Iran, his family, and more than 850 women and children who were martyred in the Ramadan War.

She outlined Iran's approaches to the economic empowerment of women. She emphasized the key role of women in achieving equal and sustainable development, expanding cooperation among Member States, and strengthening family-oriented policies.

She also shared Iran's experiences in advancing women's economic empowerment. She identified three elements, including empowerment, support, and creating opportunity, as the foundation of national policies. She emphasized the importance of expanding education and skills training, improving women's access to financial resources, strengthening the knowledge-based economy, adopting modern technologies, and supporting family-based policies.

Mrs. Fatemi emphasized that no development model can succeed without the full and meaningful participation of women. She noted that BRICS Member States can offer a new model for women's roles in development, relying on justice, human-centered approaches, and social responsibility.

The Iranian representative welcomed the meeting's final declaration and reaffirmed Iran's commitment to strengthening networks of women entrepreneurs and knowledge-based enterprises, promoting digital skills and artificial intelligence education, improving women's access to finance, exchanging best practices in family affairs, supporting sustainable employment and female entrepreneurship, and enhancing research collaboration among Member States. She concluded by expressing Iran's readiness to share its experiences and capabilities with BRICS partners.
