New York, IRNA - Iran's Vice President for Women and Family Affairs Dr. Ensiyeh Khazali, in a meeting with the head of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women in New York, called for addressing the unfair decision to cancel Iran's membership of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.

New York, IRNA – Iran's Deputy President for Women and Family Affairs, Dr. Ensiyeh Khazali has called for serious actions to end the plight of the women of Gaza, saying Islamic countries must take coordinated actions with regard to the besieged strip.

New York, IRNA – Iran's Vice President for Women and Family Affairs Dr. Khazali has underscored that the Islamic Republic is supporting the rights of women and the underprivileged people, adding that the country tries to improve their status.

Dr. Khazali: “It is evident that the societies in which women&#rsquo;s empowerment has received sufficient attention are more dynamic and developed in economic, social, and cultural terms.” In this regard, she referred to some achievements of Iran in various arenas such as technology, health, culture, and art.
