New York, IRNA – Iran's Deputy President for Women and Family Affairs Dr. Ensieh Khazali has concluded her visit to New York, where she attended the 68th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women.

New York, IRNA – Iran's Deputy President for Women and Family Affairs, Dr. Ensiyeh Khazali has called for serious actions to end the plight of the women of Gaza, saying Islamic countries must take coordinated actions with regard to the besieged strip.

New York, IRNA – Iran's Vice President for Women and Family Affairs Dr. Khazali has underscored that the Islamic Republic is supporting the rights of women and the underprivileged people, adding that the country tries to improve their status.

Dr. Khazali: “It is evident that the societies in which women&#rsquo;s empowerment has received sufficient attention are more dynamic and developed in economic, social, and cultural terms.” In this regard, she referred to some achievements of Iran in various arenas such as technology, health, culture, and art.

New York, IRNA – Iran's Vice-President for Women and Family Affairs Dr. Ensiyeh Khaz'ali who is attending the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women has urged international institutions to take appropriate measures to send food and medicine to the Gaza Strip by taking into account the UN report on the impacts of the war on the security and livelihood of women there.

New York, IRNA – Iran's Depty-President for Women and Family Affairs Dr. Ensiyeh Khazali in a meeting with Finland's Minister of Social Security Sanni Grahn-Laasonen in New York responded to her concern about the issue of hijab, calling it an accepted cultural norm in the Islamic Republic.

It is essential that the needs, problems, and issues of the survivors of Gaza families, who have witnessed the hardships of war and felt the excruciating pain of losing their loved ones, be addressed in this session.

The Vice President for Women and Family Affairs met and talked with the president of the Uzbek Senate, Tenzileh Narbayava, on the sidelines of the meeting of the Women's Forum in Tashkent.

The 7th meeting of the IORA Working Group on Women’s Economic Empowerment was held in Tehran participated by the Vice-President for Women and Family Affairs.
